Has been installed on various airports in Spain together with Carter hydrant pit valve model no. 60554; image is showing CAD drawing with open h i n g e d lid and 24" intermediate assembly ring. Pit box designed in accordance to latest scientific researches (see below)

  • 18"/24" hydrant pit box sized for EI hydrant pit valves
  • outer housing, spherodial graphite cast iron
  • lower housing, welded design with 6" ASME CL.300 RF riser flange
  • sealing bellows between outer and inner box to allow large vertical and horizontal movement
  • 18" light weight pit lid, hinged to prevent unintended movement, opening angle 180°
  • pit lid made of aluminium alloy, designed to withstand aircraft tyre load
  • cover seal, long life Nitrile Buna "N"
  • 24" assembly opening by intermediate steel ring to fix hinged pit lid
  • pit box epoxy coated in acc. with MIL-C-4556E internally, black tar epoxy coated externally
